David Marsall Biography:
David Laszlo Marsall graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 1992 as a classical clarinettist. Thereafter he studied jazz saxophone.
Since 1990 he has been an active jazzmusician and arranger in different jazz and blues ensembles, playing concerts on numerous stages in Europe and all over the World.
He was the reed soloist of the Hungarian Hot Jazz Band when this ensemble won the 1st prize at the Megéve International Jazz Competition (1997) and the 1st prize at the Louis Armstrong International Jazz Competition in Sainte-Adresse (1998).
Later he moved to Austria and became one of the most successful reed players of the Austrian traditional-jazz scene. Nowadays he mostly plays on Austrian stages; among others in Vienna’s legendary “Jazzland”. He has played with such international stars as Dana Gillespie(EN), Tom Stuip(NE), Duke Heitger(US), Scott Robinson(US), and many others.
